In 2010, Yo Gotti won Best New Artist at the BET Hip Hop Awards. Their daughter, Ariana, was born in September 2015.
They welcomed their first child, son Christian, on January 11, 2015. Yo Gotti married model Jasmine Villegas in August 2013. On February 23, 2017, Yo Gotti released a collaborative project with fellow Atlanta native 21 Savage called ’21 Savage & Yo Gotti Present Black Panther: The Album.’ It features production from Metro Boomin, Southside, TM88, London on da Track, 808 Mafia, and others.

The album debuted at number six on the US Billboard 200. It was preceded by the singles ‘I Got A Bag’ featuring Future and ‘Big Bank’ featuring French Montana. His second studio album ‘Kingdom Come’ was released on November 10, 2014. Other singles included ‘All I Do Is Win’ featuring Ty Dolla Sign and ‘Flexin’ featuring Chris Brown. Its lead single, ‘Bartier Cardi,’ peaked at number one on the US Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart.
On July 25, 2012, he released his debut studio album ‘My World.’ The album debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 chart and was eventually certified platinum. In 2012, Yo Gotti released two more mixtapes: ‘Return Of Zone 6 Part 2’ and ‘Zone 6 Mixtape 3.’ Both were critically acclaimed.
